Transfer mechanics

The world our protagonists come from (by default) is the world of Utaria which is your standard run-of-the-mill fantasy world. It's not a high-fantasy world - everyone (including mages) has to actually work for a living (think The Wither more then LoTR).

They retain all the memories of the previous world, together with all the experience they gained (however how applicable it would be to our world strongly varies).

They also retain their personality and motivations. So barbarian is going to want to wreck havoc, medic is going to heal and help people, mountain elf will prefer their natural environment over the city, etc.

In some branches the magic will transfer, but by default it does not.

Abilities are just measure of proficiency and always transfer (eg. Blacksmithing, Healing, etc.).
Skills / Spells are supernatural (for us) and do not transfer (eg. [Fireball] [Invisibility]) with the exception of racial skills.
Special Skills and Gifts can only be given by god(des) (including during the transfer). This includes special versions of otherwise common skills eg. special versions of [Dominance] & [Disguise] that our MC get.
